Green Float Project: The Environmental Island-Botanical City Concept
Shimizu Corporation dream of building an entire island that is completely environmentally friendly. The Green Float city aims to be a botanist negative carbon carbon constantly eating. Homes and services will be at a height of 1000 m above Ecuador, so it is truly a city in the sky. Increasing the temperature will be maintained throughout the year between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius. The next generation of technologies are planned to be implemented to eliminate fossil fuels and increase the thermal insulation. Electricity production uses natural resources such as waves, wind and solar power satellites. It also aims to food self-sufficiency of 100% and the conversion of waste to energy, making the city completely autonomous and ecological.
We live remarkably convenient lives in cities that have developed along economic lines.
But happiness should be measured separately from material wealth.
Contact with Nature. Time passed leisurely in cultural pursuits. Healthy and comfortable living.
And blending into and living and growing harmoniously with Nature as part of the ecosystem.
We can make a city, like a single plant, that embodies these principles.
Our model of a new environmental city was born from these aspirations.
Green Float Building a 1km high tower that is a vertical farm with a Green Float city perched on top, all on a floating concrete platform out on the ocean might seem improbable, but a number of leading universities, engineers and technology firms have signed up to work on this. The idea is that each Green Float city will power and feed itself, providing a self sufficient and carbon-neutral city of up to 50,000 people.
