SuperFlex: Multifunctional Bamboo Building-Low Construction and Operation Costs
SuperFlex: Multifunctional Bamboo Building-Low Construction and Operation Costs. A house has always referred to this private space, where one element can "move" on a personal level. As a matter of fact, is one of the few places where we can experience the tranquility of the transient physical security and retirement advice. In this sense, the architects have looked again and again after integrating a more collective approach to housing, which in turn improve spatial flexibility. Following this trend, the designer Søren Korsgaard has spared its expansive SuperFlex system: a housing component that can be reconfigured for different users fully oriented.
According to the designer, SuperFlex not only serve as housing, but also be used for a wide range of activities in other specific areas such as sports, shopping and agriculture, even. How so? Well, the whole system was considered in an application field modular, flexible, where users can arrange the names of volumes, depending on your personal preferences.
Structurally, the SuperFlex was divided into three distinct areas: the interior, the semi-outdoor and outdoor. The interior continues the classical framework of privacy if segregation components (such as walls and panels) are adjustable to mobile rearrangement on the user. The essence of the easy accessibility (and visual connection) is maintained by the use of flexible materials such as Plyboo, polycarbonate translucent and transparent glass sliding doors and windows.

But it is the "semi-outdoor" area which is presented as the only and final area of the housing system as a whole. According to Korsgaard, this mixture can be used for different functions of the parts inside basketball. The volume is made up of heterogeneous simple division, which may be arranged corresponding to the need for an hour. For example, the soft top that covers the semi-exterior is inspired by nature adaptable Japanese origami. Even structurally, the repeating unit in the roof design will end up with a series of triangles stable not only gives you a sense of aesthetic balance, but also makes it easier to manufacture components in a modular commercial area. As a matter of fact, in this case as well as materials limber Plyboo, bamboo and translucent polycarbonate may be used, depending on weather conditions, the construction process.
As for the soil, the extension "mixed" area will have a concrete floor. But the base-oriented design may change if some communities have higher performance materials such as recycled bricks and stones.
Finally reaching the scope of sustainability, design considerations have focused on the most efficient use of materials and space. The modular system allows all spatial elements for each individual to be personally and effortlessly categorized by a specific function or user traffic, which may change from time to time. This in turn regulates the effective use of energy and resources, in relation to the capacity of the building. In addition, the designer has thought of some structural attributes for use of renewable energy. For example, the roof system can be integrated with flexible solar panels for "clean and green" electricity.
