3D Architecture: Submergence by Paul Typa. Our dependence on automobiles has led to high levels of pollution. Cities today are so full of noxious fumes that citizens witnessed some areas to walk around with their faces covered by masks. As it seems possible to walk long distances, there is an urgent need to find alternative ways to reduce carbon emissions. This led the designers to get to the concepts of ecological cities, in which carbon emissions are kept at zero or near zero levels by using green energy.

A city full of people and vehicles, Hong Kong is an ideal candidate for such visions. . With tourism to see a steady stream of visitors from outside, there is a need to develop ideas that try to change the city in a subtle way, without affecting tourist footfalls and the lives of its citizens.

Paul Tse Ting and Evelyn are two designers who have come together to present their concept called "flood" design ideas competition worldwide. Hong Kong is a vibrant city, you see many cars on the road. Using this as inspiration, the duo plans to create bubbles around vehicles that reduce emissions.

Proposal introduces the concept of the protective bubble.

The project requires that vehicles at the border of the island of Hong Kong has a sort of transformation. In this case, each vehicle is equipped with a lid, as it will go through a transition kiosk. The capsule has a double skin layer which acts as a barrier against noise and carbon emissions of individual career.

The two architects expect to see these protective bubbles to transform the landscape. When traffic volume is low, the bubbles are like drops of water. When traffic is at its peak, the island seems to be submerged in water. Readers may wonder about the purpose of changing landscapes, but according to the rules of competition, designers are obliged to bring their concepts to the environment, taking into account aesthetics play an important role.

Cities like Hong Kong, which have achieved iconic status can not afford to radically change their attributes. As such, the proposal Tse Ting and aims to avoid this problem by changing things like the landscape subtly, without limiting the number of cars on the road or limitation of other citizens.

Tse are very artistic ideas. A look at his work will give the impression that he is working with and not against the surroundings. This gives his work a unique, winning the coveted title of their conceptual design competitions.
