Global warming is at its peak and energy sources are in danger of extinction, it is essential to promote architecture that is self-sufficient and carbon footprint at least in our environment. This example of the ecological green architecture is designed by Abdullah Kocamaz for “Ministry of Higher Education National School Contest Sisli Architectural Design.” A plan for the working environment is addressed through the fiction with this design. The geometry of the topography of the site is well used to make efficient use of natural light and available land. The goal is to make the building energy self-sufficient and efficient.
The architectural project area is divided into two main departments: the Department of Education and Management Service. At the main entrance, it should be suitable for parking, designed taking into account the green factor. For the establishment of the classroom, the different floors were planned well and each classroom is designed for easy access.
The management department is a quiet and isolated, and operates independently. Natural light and air are provided for multipurpose halls as the gym and office, so self for light and air conditioning. Exterior windows are raised by the study of the indications of the sun to maximize direct light. Removable glass walls are proposed to divide the office space into sections instead of walls. Natural light and air are used efficiently, reducing energy costs that would otherwise be an amount equal to a huge amount.
The school campus provides for all types of social activities too. There is a library, a park area and the study itself, designed with a relaxed atmosphere. The open space has really been designed taking into account the correlation between the specified number of students and the total area available.
